The selection committee consists of: Donna Enad Napper, Bay Area based independent curator and art consultant, Katya Min, an independent curator and currently co-director of See(d) Artist Series, formerly the curator of Room for Big Ideas and Converge series at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco, CA, and Alison Woods, Los Angeles based contemporary painter and independent curator.
Cycladic Arts encourages experimentation in all disciplines and the Committee recognises that your project may evolve or change completely while you are in residence.
Residency Costs:
Cycladic Arts aims to support each applicant in every way possible. We work hard to get funding from institutions, foundations, the state, EU and individuals from around the world. We wish to be able to offer an annual Fellowship to one artist to be able to live and work for free in the Cycladic Arts complex with paid transportations to and from Paros. A Cycladic Arts Fellowship Open Call will be announced as soon as the budget is in place. Please visit our NEWS section and social media on instagram and on facebook often for updates.
The residency costs are intended to cover the general cost of the running of the program and the maintenance of the Cycladic Arts complex. Accepted applicants are expected to cover their own personal expenses, meals, working materials and the transportation costs to and from Paros.
Please, note that you will be living on an island. That means that access to many products may be limited or more expensive than what you expect.
Residency costs will depend on the space used and the month of the residency. Duration of the residency period will be 25 days for each month. Extension of stays are possible after discussion with the coordinator.
